Refund policy

Each scrunchie is lovingly created, often using reclaimed, rescued, and remnant fabrics—meaning many pieces are limited in quantity. Because of this, we do not offer refunds unless your item arrives with a manufacturing fault. See 'faulty or damaged items' below for further details.

If you have any issues with your order, please reach out! We hope you love your H&D pieces + experience and I’ll do our best to make things right.

Why no refunds?

  • Hygiene & Care: Scrunchies are hair accessories, and for hygiene reasons, we can’t accept returns unless the items are unworn and in their original condition.
  • Handmade & Limited: Many of our pieces are made from carefully sourced fabric with only a few in existence, meaning we may not be able to replace exact items.
  • Sustainability: Returns and refunds contribute to waste, and since what we do is rooted in thoughtful, slow-made practices, we aim to keep production and waste minimal.

Faulty or damaged items

Our small team (one human with just two hands and a lot of heart 🥰) carefully checks every item to ensure quality. Nonetheless, being human-made means occasional human error may occur.

If your item arrives with a fault or damage, please email us at hello@humananddelicate.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Please include photos of the fault or damage to help us assess the issue.

If the fault is due to a manufacturing error on our part, we can offer shop credit, full refund or replacement/exchange (depending on stock availability).

Damage during transit: If your item is damaged during shipping, please let us know. While we cannot directly offer refunds or replacements in these cases, we’ll work with you to help resolve the issue through the courier.

Exchanges

  • Exchanges may be possible if the scrunchie is unused, unworn, and in its original condition, with the customer covering return shipping.

Please note: 

Human & Delicate is not just our brand name, it is our ethos. We don’t strive for perfection, nor do we pretend to be! We wholeheartedly believe It’s the unexpected quirks, irregularities and imperfections that make our handmade items (and this world) so beautiful and truly one of a kind.  This may look like scrunchies that are beautiful because of their irregular textile, colour, size or shape. We do not consider these faults and celebrate these as their best features. We're confident that the moment you meet these precious handmade treasures, you will think so too.
